Customer and field replaceable units
The following components are Customer Replaceable Units (CRUs):
• Cooling shroud
• PCIe mezzanine card
• Internal SD card
• SD vFlash card
• LAN on Motherboard riser card (LOM)
• System Memory
• Solid State Drive (SSD)
• SSD carrier
• SSD blank
• SSD backplane
• NVRAM backup battery
• Processor-and-DIMM blank
• Internal Dual SD Module card
The following components are Field Replaceable Units (FRUs). Removal and installation procedures
should be performed only by Dell certified service technicians.
• Heatsink
• Processors
• System board

CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only
perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as
directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is
not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions
that came with the product.
NOTE: It is recommended that you always use a static mat and static strap while working on
components inside the system.
