OPERATION
Call a camera to
the main monitor.

the spot monitor.

FRONT PANEL COMMAND
1. Make sure the LIVE/VCR LED on the left
of the front panel is ON. If the light is not
on, press the LIVE/VCR button to toggle
the light ON.
2. Press any CAMERA button.
Press any CAMERA button twice.
1. Go to the Advanced System Setup menu.
2. Press the arrow buttons so the cursor
highlights SPOT MONITOR DISPLAY.
3. Press the +/- button until TRACK MAIN is
displayed.
4. Exit the Advanced System Setup menu.
1. Press the LIVE/VCR button to select live
or tape playback mode. The LED is ON in
live mode.
2. Press the SEQUENCE button.
Press the SEQUENCE button twice.
Press the SEQUENCE button once or press
any camera button to stop a sequence on the
main monitor. Press the SEQUENCE button
or any camera button twice to stop a
sequence on the spot monitor.
Recording is done automatically as long as
the multiplexer is in LIVE mode and a VCR is
connected and it is in RECORD mode.
1. Make sure the LIVE/VCR LED on the left
of the front panel is OFF. If the light is not
off, press the LIVE/VCR button to toggle
the light OFF.
2. Turn on the VCR and press the PLAY
button.
3. Press the button of the camera you want
to view, or press a button below the 4-
screen icon for multiple camera playback.
4. Press LIVE to return to a live picture.
FUNCTION
Stops a sequence if one is in progress.
Displays the camera on the main
monitor.
Displays the camera on the spot
monitor.
Spot monitor follows the camera
switching that occurs on the main
monitor in single-camera mode. In multi-
camera mode, the spot monitor switches
to camera 1.
Starts the programmed sequence of
individual cameras and the quad screen
on the main monitor.
Starts the sequence of individual
cameras on the spot monitor.
Stops the sequence. The monitor
dislays video from the camera on
which the sequence stops.
Records all cameras connected to the
multiplexer.
Display the recorded cameras in the
selected format on the main monitor.
NOTE:
Pelco Genex multiplexers
can normally decode tapes made with
certain Dedicated Microcomputers
Limited multiplexers. However, a few
DM™ models create tapes that are
incompatible with Genex multiplexers.
With a programming change, Genex
multiplexers can decode tapes made
with two of these models—DM/SPQ4/
S/N/09U and DM/SPC4/D/N/16M
(refer to Pelco Tech Tip 00-3038).
Tapes made with model DMSPR2AS/
C/M/M cannot be decoded.
