Playing Discs
When playing VIDEO CDs with PBC (Play Back Contr ol)
functions (V er. 2.0 discs), you can enjoy simple interactive
operations, sear ch functions, and other such operations.
PBC Playback allows you to play VIDEO CDs
interactively by following the menu on the TV scr een.
On this player , you can use the number buttons, ENTER,
., >, M/m and ORETURN during PBC Playback.
1 Start playing a VIDEO CD with PBC functions by
following Steps 1 to 4 in “Playing Discs” on page
20.
2 Select the item number you want.
Press M/m to select the item number .
You can also select the item number with the number
buttons on the r emote.
3 Press ENTER.
4 Follow the instructions in the menu for interactive
operations.
Refer to the instr uctions supplied with the disc, as the
operating pr ocedur e may dif fer accor ding to the
VIDEO CD.
To go back to the menu
Press ORETURN, ., or >.
zTo cancel PBC playback of a VIDEO CD with PBC functions
and play the disc in continuous play mode
There ar e two ways.
• Befor e you star t playing, select the track you want using .
or >, then pr ess ENTER or H.
• Befor e you star t playing, select the track number using the
number buttons on the r emote, then pr ess ENTER or H.
“Play without PBC” appears on the TV scr een and the player
star ts continuous play . You cannot play still pictur es such as a
menu.
To retur n to PBC playback, pr ess x twice then pr ess H.
Note
Depending on the VIDEO CD, “Pr ess ENTER” in Step 3 may be
expressed as “Pr ess SELECT” in the instructions supplied with
the disc. In this case, pr ess H.
