Front Panel
qa DIGITAL OFF indicator (22)
Lights up when:
“DIGITAL OUT” is set to “OFF” in “AUDIO
SETUP.”
you press AUDIO DIRECT on the player and cut
the digital output.
qs FILM indicator (NTSC DVDs only) (66)
Lights up when film based NTSC DVD software is
played during normal playback. When playing film
based DVD software, it will blink if video based
software is sensed, or may turn off if film and video
software alternate. This is normal for DVDs that
contain both film and video based software.
qd FL OFF indicator (58)
Lights up when:
“DIMMER” in “CUSTOM SETUP” is set to
“OFF.”
you press FL ON/OFF on the remote to turn off
the front panel display.
qf Front Panel Display (28)
Indicates the playing time, etc.

qg AOPEN/CLOSE button (20)
Opens or closes the disc tray.
qh H (play) button and indicator (20)
Plays a disc. The indicator lights up when a disc is
playing.
qj S (pause) button and indicator (23)
Pauses playing a disc. The indicator lights up when a
disc is paused.
qk s (stop) button (23)
Stops playing a disc.
1 POWER button and indicator (20)
Disconnects the power of the player or places the
player in standby mode.
2 VIDEO OFF indicator (22)
Lights up when:
video output is set to off by using VIDEO ON/
OFF on the remote
you press AUDIO DIRECT on the player.
3 PROGRESSIVE indicator (58)
Lights up when the video signal is output in the
progressive format from the COMPONENT VIDEO
OUT connector.
4 SACD indicator (22)
Lights up when SACD audio signals are played.
5 Disc indicator (20)
Lights up while the disc is inserted.
6 Disc tray (20)
Place a disc on the tray.
7 PREV ./> NEXT (previous/next) buttons (23)
Press to go to the next chapter or track, or to go back
to the previous chapter or track.
8 AUDIO DIRECT button and indicator (22)
Cuts off the video and audio digital signal output. The
indicator lights up when the video and audio signals
are cut.
9 SACD logo indicator (22)
Lights up when no disc is in the player, or when an
SACD disc is inserted and SACD audio signals are
played.
