Viewing One Frame at a Time

You can view pictures one frame at a time.
• For DVD Audio discs, you can only view pictures one frame at a time if the disc includes video images. For discs that
only include still pictures, or do not include any pictures, is displayed.
■ While a disc is playing
1 Press 8 to pause playback.
2 Press 8.
Each time you press the button, the paused image is advanced by one frame.
• Pressing # (Play), resumes normal playback.

You can perform slow motion playback by pressing the buttons on the remote control or the player itself.
• For DVD Audio discs, you can only use slow motion playback if the disc includes video images. For discs that only
include still pictures, or do not include any pictures, is displayed.

■ While a disc is playing
1 Press 8 to pause playback.
2 Press ¡ or 1.
¡ : Uses slow motion playback in the forward direction.
1 : Uses slow motion playback in the reverse direction. (Only for DVD Audio and DVD Video discs.)
The slow motion playback speed increases with each press of the button.
• Pressing # (Play), resumes normal playback.
Pausing slow motion playback
Press 8 (Pause).
Using the ¢/4 buttons on the player itself for slow motion playback.
■ While a disc is playing
1 Press 8 to pause playback.
2 Press and hold down ¢ or 4.
¢ : Uses slow motion playback in the forward direction.
4 : Uses slow motion playback in the reverse direction. (Only for DVD Audio and DVD Video discs.)
• When you release the ¢/4 button, the player returns to the paused state.
Note:

The audio signal is not output during slow motion playback.
●
You cannot use slow motion playback in the reverse direction for Video CD discs.
