Connecting to a TV with a DVD Component Video Input Terminal
By using the component video output terminal to connect the player to the TV you can enjoy high-quality video
performance.
Note:

If you connect the player to the “Y”, “PB” and “PR” terminals of a Progressive TV or High-Definition TV, you can enjoy
progressive video output. Set the [PROGRESSIVE] in Initial Settings 2 of the Initial Settings screen to a setting
other than [OFF] ([VIDEO] or [FILM]). See page 28.

You should note that not all Progressive TV and High-Definition TV sets are fully compatible with this product and
may cause artifacts to be displayed in the picture. In case of 525 progressive scan picture problems, it is recommended
that you switch the setting to the “standard definition” output by setting the [PROGRESSIVE] in Initial Settings 2 of
the Initial Settings screen to [OFF]. If there are questions regarding our TV set compatibility with this model 525P
DVD player, please contact our customer service center.
