Changing Parental Lock
The procedure for changing the parental lock settings is similar to the previous procedure, except that you need to
enter the existing password before you can make any changes.
While a DVD Video disc is stopped or no disc is loaded
1 While pressing 7 (Stop), press [ENTER].
The parental lock screen appears.
The arrow ( ) moves to [PASSWORD].
2 Press the number buttons to enter the existing password (four digits), then press [ENTER].
If the password is not correct, a message asking you to reenter the password will appear. Enter the correct
password.
3 Press 5/ to align the arrow ( ) with [Set Level], then press 2/3 to select the new restriction level.

4 Press [ENTER].
The arrow ( ) moves to [PASSWORD].
5 Press the number buttons to enter the new password, then press [ENTER].
The new parental lock setting and password are set, and the arrow ( ) moves EXIT.
6 Press [ENTER] again.
The display returns to the opening screen.
Note:
If you cannot remember the password for step 2, enter 8888.
If you enter an incorrect password three times at step 2, the arrow ( ) moves to EXIT and you cannot use the
5/ buttons to move it.
