Network Settings
TCP/IP
z
DHCP:
DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol.
- ON: Network settings of this unit are configured
automatically by the DHCP server.
If you set to ON, the [IP Address], [Subnet Mask],
[Gateway], [Primary DNS] and [Secondary DNS]
options are dimmed and these options are not set.
- OFF: Enter the network settings manually.
z IP Address: Enter an IP address using the virtual
keyboard.
z Subnet Mask: Enter a subnet mask address using
the virtual keyboard.
z Gateway: Enter the gateway address using the vir-
tual keyboard.
z Primary DNS: Enter the Main DNS server address
using the virtual keyboard.
z Secondary DNS: Enter the Sub DNS server
address using the virtual keyboard.
z TCP/IP Port No.: Enter the TCP/IP Port number
using the virtual keyboard. You can watch the live
surveillance image over the network with the PC
Client program. The factory default port for trans-
mission of video and audio data is 9001. However
in some cases it is better to change this port num-
ber for added flexibility or security. If desired
change the port number(1025 ~ 65535).
z Web Server Port No.: Enter the Web Sever Port
number using the virtual keyboard. You can watch
the live surveillance image over the network with a
web browser. Typically the TCP port used by HTTP
is 80. However in some cases it is better to change
this port number for added flexibility or security. If
desired change the port number (80 or 1025~
65535).
z Bandwidth: Enter the Bandwidth using the virtual
keyboard to adjust the data traffic (1~100Mbps).
Note:
When you change the TCP/IP port or web sever port
number, all connections with the PC Client programs
or web browser will be connected.
DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name
System)
z User Name: Enter the DDNS registered user name
using the virtual keyboard.
z Password: Enter the user password in
[User Name] using the virtual keyboard.
Note:
The DDNS function is serviced using a TCP 8245
port by "No-IP"(http://www.no-ip.com/).
In case the DVR is used in the network system with a
firewall, you have to open the TCP 8245 port so that
DDNS data can get into firewall. For more detail on
firewall setup, ask your network administrator and/or
network service provider.
