1 Show Enter Name screen.
To end partway
Press RETURN.
• Text is not saved.
Name field:
Shows the text you have entered
2 Press ▲▼◄► to select a character and press
ENTER.
To erase a character
Press ▲▼◄► to select the character in the name field and
press PAUSE.
• You can also erase characters by selecting “ERASE” and
pressing ENTER.
Using the NUMBER keys to enter characters
e.g., entering the letter “R”
a. Press 7 to move to the 7th row.
b. Press 7 twice to highlight “R”.
c. Press ENTER.
To enter a space
Press CANCEL and press ENTER.
3 Press STOP.
• You can also finish entering the title by selecting “SET” and pressing
ENTER.
• Returns to the previously displayed screen.

Notes:
• The full title is shown in the Properties screen (pp. 52, 59), but if you enter
a long title, only part of it is shown in the program list or play list screen.
•
DVD-R
If you enter a long title, only part of it is shown in the menu screen
after finalization.
• Still picture folder titles:
• Titles are saved in the “TITLE.DVD” folder and can only be displayed on
this unit.
• Input is not possible if the destination lacks sufficient space or has
exceeded the maximum number of allowable files.
• The title may not appear correctly if input was done using other equipment.
You can give names to recorded titles, etc.
