DVR Management Menu (Required user access level: ID4)
6 ALARM DURATION
(default: 20S)
You can specify the duration of alarm
recording triggered when an alarm
condition is detected.
For example, if the duration is set to “5S”,
alarm video is recorded for 5 seconds after
an alarm signal is received.
Available options:
5S, 10S, 20S, 40S, 1M, 2M, 3M, 4M, 5M,
10M, 15M, CC
7 ALARM TRIGGER
(default: ALARM)
You can configure the alarm recording
trigger condition (i.e., when the alarm
recording mechanism is activated).
Available options:
ALARM (external alarm):
When the external alarm device has
input an alarm signal to the alarm input
terminal on the DVR’s rear panel.
SENSOR (motion sensor):
When the motion sensor has detected
something moving in the video.
ALARM OR SENSOR:
When either the external alarm device or
the motion sensor has reacted.
ALARM AND SENSOR:
When both the external alarm device and
the motion sensor have reacted.
8 VIDEO LOSS (default: ON)
You can control how the system should
respond to loss of the monitor video stream.
Available options:
ON:
When a video stream is lost, the system
displays a “VIDEO LOSS” message on
screen, and outputs the corresponding
signal to the DVR’s rear panel terminal.
OFF:
The system neither displays a message
nor outputs a signal when a video stream
is lost.
9 AUTO DELETE (default: OFF)
You can turn on or off the Auto Delete
feature, which automatically erases
obsolete video files that have exceeded a
predetermined maximum storage period.
Available options:
ON:
Turns on the Auto Delete feature.
(You have to specify the maximum storage
period within the range of 1 to 99 days.)
OFF:
Turns off the Auto Delete feature.
If you select “CC”, the alarm
recording mechanism continuously
works as long as the alarm signal is
being received.
The alarm recording mechanism
works for at least 5 seconds in
response to one alarm signal even if
the alarm signal goes off instantly.
The AUTO DELETE section is displayed
on the window only when the DVR is the
DSR-M810/814 complete with the Auto
Delete feature. However, some earlier
versions of the DSR-810 do not have
this feature built in. For details, consult
your dealer.
When you have finished configuring the
settings on this tab, click and make
sure that the tab index text turns yellow.
When you have finished your configuration
task across all the tabs, finally click
. Configuration information is
uploaded to the DVR, and the tab index text
returns from yellow to black. (For more
information on the command buttons, see
P103.)
