INSTALLING YOUR DVD RECORDER
Using a satellite receiver/DVB-T set-top box
TV channels from a satellite receiver or DVB-T set-top box (connected to
the second SCART socket “EXT2 AUX”) are received on the DVD
recorder on the input source “Video 1” or “S-Video”. Select the required
input source with the button “SOURCE” on the remote control.
You have to select the TV channels to be received by the satellite receiver
or DVB-T set-top box directly on the receiver/set-top box itself.
Manual TV channel search
In some cases, not all of the available TV channels may have been found
and stored during initial installation/automatic channel search. You will
need to search for and store the missing TV channels manually in this
case.
1 Turn on the TV and select the programme number for the DVD recorder
if required.
2 Turn on the DVD recorder with the “POWER” button on the remote
control or the “STANDBY/ON” button on the front panel of the DVD
recorder.
3 Press the “SETUP” button on the remote control. The setup menu
appears.
4 Select the “General” setup page by pressing the direction button “D”
and press “ENTER” to enter this page.
5 Select “Manual search” with the button “D” on your remote control
and confirm your selection by pressing “ENTER”. The menu will be
opened.
6 Highlight the input field “PR” with the direction button “C” or “D” on
your remote control and use the number buttons “0-9” to select the pro-
gramme number that you want to use for the TV channel, e.g. “03”.
7 Navigate down to the field “CH” (Channel) or “S-CH” (Special channel)
with the button “D” and insert the channel number of the required TV
station with the number buttons “0-9” or the buttons “B” and “A” on
your remote control.

Note:
First you have to select the input source “Tuner” by pressing the
“SOURCE” button or the buttons “B” and “A” on your remote control.
Confirm with “ENTER”.

Notes:
• It is only possible to enter either a channel (“CH”) or a special chan-
nel (“S-CH”).
• In case the selected channel is deleted from the channel list (see sec-
tion “Deleting and adding TV channels” on page 31), the check-
mark next to the field “Skip” is activated, indicating that the channel is
skipped when changing channels.
