Recording related settings
Highlight the menu point you would like to set in the “Recording” setup
page. Please press “ENTER” to enter a menu. Use the button “C” or “D”
to select the required recording setting and press “ENTER” or “A” to con-
firm your selection. To leave a submenu, press the button “RETURN” or
“B” on your remote control.
Recording quality
You can choose one of the following recording modes:
HQ (approx. 1 hour): High Quality offers the best picture quality and a
recording time of approx. 60 minutes.
SP (approx. 2 hours): Standard Play (DVD quality) offers excellent
picture quality with a recording time of approx.
120 minutes.
LP (approx. 3 hours): Long Play (S-VHS picture quality). Recording
time approx. 180 minutes.
EP (approx. 4 hours): Extended Play (better than VHS quality).
Recording time approx. 240 minutes.
SLP (approx. 6 hours): Super Long Play (lower than VHS picture
quality). Recording time approx. 360 minutes.
Chapter marker
If this feature is activated, each 5 to 15 minutes chapter markers will be set
automatically during recording. That means a new chapter will start on this
place. For more details, see the section “Inserting chapter markers” in
chapter “Manual recordings” (see page 53).
Timer recording
Use this feature to set a timer recording. For more information, please refer
to page 62, section “Programming a recording (timer)”.
