Playing an Audio CD
You can also use your DVD recorder to play Audio CDs.
1 Insert an Audio CD. Playback starts usually automatically. If playback
does not start automatically, press the Play/Pause button A/Ion the
remote control or on the front of the DVD recorder.
2 Stop playback using the Stop button J”.
Playing an MP3 disc
MP3 (MPEG1 Audio Layer-3) files are highly compressed music files.
Using this technology the data volume can be compressed by a factor of
10. This means it is possible to record 10 hours music in CD quality on a
single CD-ROM.
When creating MP3 CDs, please note the following:
• File system: ISO9660, Joliet
• Formats: *.mp3
• File names: maximum 64 ASCII characters (Joliet)
• Support of all standard bitrates
1 Insert an MP3 disc. If playback does not start automatically, select the
required folder using the direction button C or D and press
“ENTER” to confirm your selection. Select now the track you want to
play.
2 Press the Play/Pause button A/Ior the button “ENTER” to start the
playback.
Note for Audio CD display:
If the TV is on, press the button “DISPLAY” on your remote control to
display the Audio CD screen (see illustration on the left side). For more
information, please refer to page 46.
Additional playing functions:
• With the button Hor F you can select the previous or next
track.
• When playing an Audio CD, you can also use the repeat functions. For
this, please use the buttons “REPEAT A-B” and “REPEAT 1/ALL”.
Note:
To return to the folder selection, please select and press
“ENTER” to confirm. Now you can choose another folder.

some mistakes (e.g. when
displaying the time) due to
the copy protection. This is
no fault of your DVD recor-
der.
