Selecting the input source
Press the button “SOURCE” on your remote control to open the menu for
selecting the video input source. With the buttons “B” and “A” or by
pressing the “SOURCE” button you can select the different sources. If the
required source is displayed on the screen (you can see in the illustration,
which input is meant), press the button “ENTER” on your remote control
to confirm your selection. The following sources are available.
Video 1: Video 1 input source. An additional device with SCART output
has to be connected to the SCART-2 socket “EXT2 AUX” on
the rear side of the DVD recorder. The composite video signal
will be transferred over the SCART cable (pin 20) when set-
ting to “Video 1”. On the VFD display appears “VIDEO_1”.
S-Video: S-Video input source. An additional device with S-Video out-
put has to be connected to the SCART-2 socket “EXT2 AUX”
on the rear panel of the DVD recorder. The S-Video signal will
be transferred over the SCART cable (pin 15 and 20) when
setting to “S-Video”. On the VFD display appears
“S_VIDEO”.
DVD: DVD recorder mode. To play back an inserted disc.
DV: DV input source. A digital camcorder has to be connected to
the “DV IN” socket on the front panel of the DVD recorder. On
the VFD display appears “DV”.
Video 2: Video 2 input source. An additional device with composite
video output has to be connected to the “VIDEO IN 2” socket
on the front panel of the DVD recorder. On the VFD display
appears “VIDEO_2”.
Tuner: To switch into the tuner mode. By pressing the buttons “C”
and “D” on your remote control you can change the pro-
gramme number. The selected programme number appears
on the VFD display.
