VGA(640x480)through1920x1080signalsatarefresh
rateof60Hz.Notethat1280x1024and1920x1080
signalsaresupportedonlyfordigitalcomputersignals,
and1920x1080at24,30,and60Hz.SeeAppendixBin
thisbookformoreoncompatiblescreenresolutions.
Whenconnectingacomputerprovidingdigitalvideo,in
mostcasesthecomputerwillselectthebestresolution
matchtodisplayontheTV.Youcanoverridethissetting
ifyouwish.Foracomputerprovidinganalogvideo,you
mayneedtosettheresolutionmanually.Theinstruc-
tionsbelowareforsettingtheresolutiononmostpersonal
computers.
1. InthePC’sStartmenu,selectSettings.
2. SelectControl Panel.
3. SelectDisplay.
4. ChoosetheSettingstab.
5. Changetheresolutiontothehighestresolutionwith
theaspectratiobestsuitedfortheimage.Seethe
tableonthenextpageshowingpossiblePCformats.
Dependingonyourcomputer’soperatingsystem,
adjusttheresolutionwitheither:
NOTE: WhenevertheTVispoweredon,thelampisin
use,eveniftheTVscreenappearsdark.Asa
reminderthattheTVispoweredonandthattime
