Activating V-Chip
Selecting this option lets you activate and deactivate parental control settings.
1. Make sure the remote is in TV mode by pressing the TV button.
2. Press MENU (the Main menu appears).
3. Press the down arrow button until the PARENTAL CONTROL is highlighted, then
press ENTER.
4. Use the arrow button to highlight V-CHIP, and press ENTER to turn in ON. It
must be on for rating limits to take effect.
If you do not activate V-Chip, none of the settings for V-Chip will take effect.
Note: If you forget your password, you can reset it. Press the MENU and SOURCE
button on the top of the TV/DVD for several seconds (the password resets). Enter
3308 as the password and then change it to a new one.

TV Ratings
The TV Ratings screen allows you to block all program ratings and specific content themes above a specified
age-based rating level. When you block a content theme for a a specific rating, you automatically block that
content theme for higher rated programs as well. For example, if you want your child to watch programs that
have a TV-G rating and lower (in other words, you want the child to watch TV-G, TV-Y7, and TV-Y), then you
need to block out higher ratings.
To set TV programming limits:
1. Make sure the remote is in TV mode by pressing the TV button.
2. Press MENU (the Main menu appears).
