Remote
control problems
Make surethe remote control is set to the correct device
mode (_ page21).
Removeall obstructions betweenthe remotecontrol and the
TV.
The remote control batteries may be dead.Replacethe
batteries (_ page 20).
Your TV remote control may not operate certainfeatures on
your external device. Referto the owner's manualfor your
other deviceto determine itsavailable features. Ifyour TV
remotecontrol does not operate a specific feature on another
device, usethe remote control that camewith the device
(_ pages 26-32).
Ifthe TV still does not act as expected, usethe ResetFactory
Defaults procedure (_ page40).
Channel tuning problems
• Make sure the remote control isset to the correct device
mode (_ page21).
• Thechannel may havebeenerasedfrom the channel memory
by the ChannelAdd/Delete feature. Add the channelto the
channel memory (_ page37).
• The channel may be blocked bythe ChannelsBlockfeature.
Unblockthe channel (_4r page 55).
• If you are unableto tune digital channels, check the antenna
configuration (_ page36). If you are still unableto tune
digital channels, clear all channelsfrom the channel list
(_ page 37) and reprogram channels into the channel
memory (_ page36). If you are still unableto tune digital
channels, usethe ResetFactory Defaults procedure
(_ page 40). Also see "TV stops responding to controls"
and "Other problems" (_ page 65).
Closed caption problems
• Ifthe program or video you selectedis not closed-captioned,
no captions will display (_' page49).
• If text is not available,a black rectangle mayappear. If this
happens,turn off the closed caption feature (_ page49).
• A closed-caption signal may not display correctly in the
following situations: a)when a videotape hasbeendubbed; b)
when the signal reception is weak; or c) when the signal
reception is nonstandard (_ page49).
Rating blocking (V-Chip) problems
• If youforget your PiN code: While the PiN code entering
screenis displayed, press _ four times within 5 seconds.
The PIN code you previously stored will be cleared
(_ page 52).
• TheV-Chip feature isavailablefor the U.S.V-Chip system only
(_ page 53).
No REGZA-LINKoperation
• TheREGZA-LINKfeatureisavailableforToshiba REGZA-LINK
compatible devices.
• Makesurethe HDMI cableswith the HDMI Logo (141Drrll)
are used.
• Whenthe connected REGZA-LINKdevicedoes not work
correctly after you have changed settings of the device,turn
off your TVand unplug the power cord, then plug andturn on
again.
• If several devicesare connected, REGZA-LINKfeature may
not operate properly.
• Readthe instruction manual furnished with the connected
REGZA-LINKdevice.
HDMI problems
For HDMI cables
• Makesurethe HDMI cables with the HDMI Logo (HDml)
are used (_ pages16, 17 and 19).
For Deep Color
• You should needto use High SpeedHDMI cableto work
properly. Normal HDMI cable or DVI cablemay not work with
this option (_ page59).
For Legacy HDMI source
• Some of legacyHDMI sources may not work properly with
latest HDMI TV products, due to new standard adoption.
Pleasetry to set Off the HDMI settings(Lip-Sync Latency,
DeepColor, x.v.Color). Your legacy HDMI source should
operate properly with this TV products (_ page59).
