Meaning
To compensate for camera-shake.
To cancel the SteadyShot function. Natural
pictures are produced when shooting a
stationary object with a tripod.
To use the video plug of the A/V connecting

To adjust the color on the LCD screen with
b/B.
To set the brightness on the viewfinder screen to

Notes on the SteadyShot function
The SteadyShot function may not work properly in the following cases:
When the camera shake is excessive.
When shooting in dark conditions.
When the contrast of the subject and its background is low.
When the subject is in vertical stripes.
When shooting a moving subject.
When attaching a conversion lens (optional).
If you cancel the SteadyShot function
The SteadyShot off indicator appears. Your camcorder prevents excessive
compensation for camera-shake.
Notes on VF B.L.
When you select BRIGHT, the battery life is reduced by about 10 percent during
recording.
When you use a power source other than the battery pack
VF B.L. is automatically set to BRIGHT.
