Movies & More Considerations
You can repeatedly watch a rented program for the period of time (for example, 24
hours) listed. Rented programs cannot be saved to the My Recordings list.
The My Rentals option shows you how much time you have remaining on rented
DISH On Demand Programs.
Be sure to keep Updates and Inactivity Standby enabled so that your receiver always
has the latest DISH On Demand programs. See Scheduling Receiver Updates on
page 101.
DISHONLINE
DishONLINE lets you download movies and other programs to the satellite receiver if it is
connected to a broadband (high-speed) Internet connection. For steps to connect your
satellite receiver to the Internet, refer to Connecting a Broadband Internet Connection on
page 113. For more information, go to dishnetwork.com/dishonline.
To Order a DishONLINE Program
1 Press DVR on the remote control, and select DishONLINE.
2 Select Just Added to see the newest programs available on the service, or select DISH
Theater to review the list of all programs available on the service.
3 Select the program you want to order.
4 Follow the on-screen messages to confirm your order. The DishOLINE program begins
downloading. If you have multiple programs selected for download, the program is added
to your Download List queue.
5 Once enough of the program has downloaded, you can view it by going to the My
Downloads screen (press DVR on the remote, select DishONLINE, then select My
Downloads).
Note: The My Downloads list includes the time remaining in which you must view a
program before it is automatically deleted from the receiver.
DishONLINE Considerations
Your receiver must be connected to a broadband Internet connection to use the
DishONLINE feature. Contact your Internet service provider to verify if you have
broadband Internet.
Most Internet service providers have a “Fair Access Policy” which sets usage limits on
the amount that can be downloaded in a given time period. Contact your Internet
service provider to find out about their Fair Access Policy.
