Enjoying the Surround Sound
Playback source and available surround modes
If the source signal is 96 kHz, you can select only STEREO surround mode.
If the source signal is from a monaural AM broadcast or TV, and if you select PL II MOVIE or PL
II MUSIC, the sound may be output mostly from the center speaker.
To obtain surround effects from monaural sound sources, select other surround modes.
Notes regarding DTS
If you play a DTS CD or LD in analog mode on a component that is connected only to the PDR-
155’s ANALOG jacks, the DTS signal will be output as noise. This noise may damage the
speakers and the PDR-155. Be sure to play DTS CDs on the PDR-155.
During playback of a DTS disc, pausing or skipping playback may cause temporary noise. This
is not a malfunction.
