Using the Media Servers list
You can view the Demo or change the current media
server; to change the server see “Changing Servers”
on page 71.
In the Media Servers list you can select Demo, and
press OK.
The Demo provides a demonstration of the Photos,
Videos, and Music menus. You can navigate through
the Photos in thumbnail view (All Photos), through a
Music list of songs (All Music), and through a Video list
of videos (All Videos). You can play an example video.
While in the Demo:
■ Use the arrow buttons to select an option in the
Demo, and press OK.
■ Press the Back button to exit an option.
To exit the Demo, press Media, select Exit
Demo, and press OK.
Viewing current settings
The Current Settings option in the Setting menu shows
the current media settings.
Changing Network settings
In the Network menu, you can select the network
settings or select to use automatic IP addressing or
static IP addressing by using the Advanced menu. If
your router does not use DHCP, then assign a static IP
address using the Advanced menu.
To initially set up to use the Media function, including
installing Windows Media Connect, see “Setting Up
for the Media Function” on page 25.
Using the Advanced menu
1 On the Settings menu, press an arrow button to
select Network, and press OK.
2 Press the down arrow button to select
Advanced, and then press OK. The Advanced
menu displays.
3 In the Advanced menu:
■ Select Switch to Automatic to use
automatic IP addressing. Press OK, and
continue by selecting the network settings; see
“Selecting Network settings” on page 72.
Or
■ Select Switch to Manual to use static IP
addressing. Press OK, and continue with
step 4.
4 The manual IP address items display. Enter the
information for IP address, Subnet mask,
DNS server, and Gateway.
Press an arrow to enter the text box, and then
press the number buttons on the remote control to
enter the value. Press an arrow button to move
between boxes.
5 Press an arrow button to select OK, and press
OK.
6 Wait while the TV connects to the network.
■ The Network menu displays when the TV is not
connected to the network; continue with
“Selecting Network settings” on page 72.
Or
■ The Media Servers list displays when the TV is
connected to the network but not connected to
a media server. Continue with step 7.
7 The list of servers shows all the available servers.
Press an arrow button to select a server name.
8 Press OK.
9 The TV connects to the server and displays the
main media menu.
Selecting Network settings
The Network menu displays when the TV is not
connected to the network.
Use the Network menu to set the network settings:

page 73.

■ See “Assigning wireless network settings” on
page 73.
