INPUT THE START TIME

Press SET to set the hour
(making sure that AM or
PM is correct), and then
press SELECT.

Press SET to set the
minutes, and then press
SELECT.
INPUT THE STOP TIME

Set the stop time in the same
way as you set the start time
in steps 7 – 8.
INPUT THE CHANNEL NUMBER

Press the Digit keys to enter
the channel number, and
then press SELECT.
SET THE TAPE SPEED

Press SET to choose SP or
EP, and then press SELECT.
To input another program,
repeat steps 3 – 11. (You
can set up to a maximum
of 8 programs.)
RETURN TO THE TV SCREEN

Press MENU.
Select the desired Auto Timer setting. See page 30 for
details.

Press MENU again.
SET TO TIMER MODE

Press TIMER.
The VCR will enter the timer mode and power will go
off.
"ERROR" WARNING
If the start time you input has already passed (i.e. is prior to the
present date and time), the VCR will flash "ERROR" on the
Program Set screen.
Check if you've input the correct time and date. Remember: late
night shows beginning
at midnight or later must have the next
day's date.
TO DISENGAGE THE TIMER
For safety, when AUTO TIMER is "OFF", your VCR disables all
other functions while in the timer mode.
To use your VCR, first disengage the timer mode by pressing
TIMER again. Now all functions will be operable.
To re-engage the timer, press TIMER.

NOTES:
If there is a power failure, the VCR will remember your timer-record
selections for 10 minutes.
When timer-recording cable channels received through a Converter
Box, be sure to keep the Converter Box set to ON.
If a date before the present date is selected the timer will be set for
that date next year. The day displayed will also change to reflect the
correct day for that date next year.
If a program that is being timer-recorded sends a timer-extension
signal, the VCR automatically extends recording time to
accommodate the change. (INDEX PLUS+ FUNCTIONS SETTING
must be set to "ON". Refer to page 8 of the INDEX Plus+ manual.)
