7 The following screens appear:
To quit the process, press CANCEL.
● Pressing CANCEL at the first screen in step 7
returns you to the normal screen.
● Pressing CANCEL at the second screen in step 7
brings up the following confirmation screen:
If you are sure you want to stop, select "YES" by
pressing ENTER. (The FAILURE screen appears.
Press CANCEL.)
If you change your mind, select "NO" by pressing
CANCEL. The RESTORING screen appears and
restoration continues.
8 When copying is finished, "COMPLETE" appears
on screen. If all directories could not be copied,
"FAILURE" appears on screen. Re-perform the
procedure from step 1 .
NOTES:
● The directory of the back-up tape used in directory
transfer or restore will not copy correctly. To ensure that
the back-up tape's own directory is copied correctly, first
erase the previously copied version from the VCR's
memory (refer to "Erasing A Directory" on page 20 of
this instruction manual). Then perform the "Uploading A
Directory" procedure (
੬ page 23 of this instruction
manual).
● If transfer is unsuccessful using the LATEST tape,
use the SECOND tape. Any data stored on the tape
is completely restored.
● Transferring and restoring may occasionally be
unsuccessful, depending on the condition of the tape.
● If you stop a transfer or restoration in progress, it
will end incomplete. In this instance you need to
initialize the library (
੬ pg. 29).
