Precautions when using a 15 Pin to 9 Pin RS-232C cable with the DVD-V8000
Proper RS-232C control may not be possible when using a generic RS-232C cable with the DVD-V8000.
To use your own cable, verify cable pin assignments using the diagram below.
Refer to the DVD-V8000 Operating instructions section “Serial Interface Specifications” (page 84) for information on procuring
the proper type of cable.
7 Confirming the Cable Type
Method : Verify that there is no continuity between Pin 4 on the 15-pin connector (DB15) and Pin 4 on the 9-pin connector
(DB9).
