■ Logical Delink and
Reconfiguration of Hard Disk
(Remove Link)
Logical delinking of hard disk (Remove Link) is a situation
where a hard disk is not physically removed but a hard disk
is not recognized. You may want to use delinking in the sit-
uation that a hard disk in this unit or an add-on unit fails
(hard disk marked with "*", "LOST" or "ERROR"), and you
would like to disconnect the hard disk temporarily and keep
on operating.
You can activate the delinking function by following the pro-
cedure below.
z Turn on this unit and press the [SET] button after com-
pletion of system check.
Note: If the hard disk is taken out, the top page of the
disk configuration menu automatically appears.

x Press the arrows button (A and B) to move the cursor
to "Remove Link" and press the [SET] button.

A message to confirm delinking appears.
c Move the cursor to "OK" and press the [SET] button.

screen appears.
