Timer recording
3 Press [ENTER].
The timer recording setting screen appears which allows you
to confirm the program and make corrections if necessary.
Repeat steps 13 to program other recordings.
4 Press [PROG/CHECK] or [RETURN].
The timer recording list disappears and the message TURN
RECORDER OFF FOR TIMER RECORDING is shown on
the television.
To put the unit on timer recording

A
standby
Press [ê, POWER].
Ensure ç lights on the units display.
Note
If the disc is protected or full, the unit switches to standby but does
not go for timer recording standby. Check the disc carefully.
º Flexible recording mode (FR)
³The unit automatically selects a recording rate between XP and
EP that will enable the recordings to fit in the available recording
time on the disc with the best possible recording quality.
³You can use the mode only with timer recording.
³It may not be possible to record to the finish of the program if the
remaining time doesnt allow.
Note
³The built-in clock employs 12-hour system.
³The actual time recorded may be longer than the program itself
when television programs are recorded using VCR Plusi.
³Invalid Entry is displayed when you enter the wrong code. Reent-
er the code.
³All timer programs are occupied. is displayed if there are already
16 items programmed. Clear unnecessary items ( page 47).
³The remaining time displayed is calculated based on the current
recording mode.
³Approximately 30 seconds at the beginning of subsequent pro-
grams is not recorded when you use timer recording to record mul-
tiple programs to a DVD-R.
³Recording is not possible unless you set Disc Protection in DISC
SETTING to Off ( page 53). [RAM]
³You can not record to a disc if the disc is protected with the write-
protect tab. Release this before operation ( page 99). [RAM]
³Timer recording may not work as set when summer time switches
to winter time and vice versa ( page 88).
