Using the direct navigator
Protecting programs
[RAM]
You can prevent accidental erasure of programs by write-protecting
them.
Preparation
³Switch [DVD, TV] to “DVD”.
³Insert a disc you have recorded on.
1 While stopped
Press [TOP WINDOW].
2 Use the joystick [3, 4, 2, 1] to
select “DIRECT NAVIGATOR” and
press [ENTER].
3 Use the joystick [3, 4] to select the
program you want to protect.
4 Use the joystick [1] so the submenu
appears.
5 Use the joystick [3, 4] to select
“Protection” and press [ENTER].
6 Use the joystick [2, 1] to select
“Yes” and press [ENTER].
º To stop partway through
In step 6, either select “No” and press [ENTER] or press [RETURN].
For your reference
Programs will be erased even if they are protected if you format the
disc with DISC SETTING (➡ page 54).
The padlock mark appears.
