Recording from a video
cassette recorder

You can record audio and video being played on a video cassette
recorder or video camera connected to the input terminals.
Preparation
³Connect the other equipment to this units input terminals
( page 79).
³Switch [DVD, TV] to DVD.
³Insert a disc that can be recorded on.
³Select the recording mode, XP, SP, LP, or EP ( page 26).
1 While stopped
Press [INPUT SELECT] to select the
input channel for the equipment you
have connected.
Select L1, L2, or L3.
2 Start play on the other equipment.
3 Press [´, REC] at the point you want
to start recording.
º To skip unwanted parts
Press [;, PAUSE] to pause recording.
Press again to restart recording.
º To stop recording
Press [º, STOP].
Stop play on the other equipment as well.

³You can also select the input channel by pressing [[DVD], W, X,
CH] in step 1.
³This unit complies with industry standards regarding the recording
and duplication of copy-protected material. This includes commer-
cial videotapes and DVDs. Apart from infringing copyright laws,
copies of protected material are often of very poor quality.
