Recording on the HDD archive and simultaneous
playback from disc
1 Switch on the television and select the preset channel for the
HDD DVD recorder.
2 Press »
Ǽ« to switch on the HDD DVD recorder from standby
mode.
– When you switch on the HDD DVD recorder, the current pro-
gramme that you can see on the television screen is recorded
in the time shift memory.
Note:
Please select the recording quality before starting the recording.
See the section on custom settings and selecting the recording
quality on page 96.
3 Press »SOURCE« to select the input source (for example, TV).
– Display: for example, »P1 ARD«, the current TV station is
shown.

select the TV channel or open the programme list with »OK«,

– A message appears. Press »OK« to acknowledge.
– You can see the data for the recording in the HDD archive.
Note:
If this message is not acknowledged, the HDD DVD recorder
continues recording.
