TLA 700 Series Installation Manual
The following procedure assumes that the hard disk is already properly for-
matted. To reinstall the Windows 95 software, complete the following steps:
1. Start the logic analyzer from the Windows 95 Setup Boot floppy disk.
2. When the install program prompts you for an installation, select Typical.
3. Enter the Windows 95 Product Identification number located above the bar
code on the Windows 95 software package.
4. Enter your name when prompted.
5. Enter your company name when prompted (optional).
6. When prompted, select the appropriate hardware categories (for example,
Network).
7. Install the Windows 95 floppy disks one at a time until you have installed all
of the floppy disks.
8. Enter the current date, time, and time zone when prompted.
9. Restart the logic analyzer when prompted. The logic analyzer should start up
in Windows 95. You are now ready to install the TLA 700 Series application
software.
After installing the Windows 95 software, you must set the display driver for
your monitor. Otherwise, using the default display driver may not provide the
optimum display settings. To set the display driver, complete the following steps:
1. Click Start, point to Settings, click on Control Panel, and open the Display
icon.
2. Select the Settings property page.
3. Click on the Advanced Properties button.
4. Select the Adapter tab page, and then click on the Change button.
5. Click on the Have Disk button.
6. Insert the floppy disk labeled Cirrus Logic Video Display Driver
GDS7543 – Rel 2.40 for Windows 95 and click OK.
7. Select the driver named Cirrus Logic 7543 2.40 PCI(Cirrus) and then click
OK.
NOTE. If a Version Conflict dialog box appears and asks you if you want to keep
the file, answer Yes.
