TLA 700 Series Installation Manual
The following virtual memory settings ensure optimal performance of the
TLA 700 Series application software.
1. Open the System icon in the Control Panel.
2. Select the Performance property page and select the Virtual Memory button.
3. In the Virtual Memory dialog, click the radio button Let me specify my own
virtual memory settings.
4. Enter a minimum value of 100 MB and a maximum value of 500 MB.
5. Click OK to close the dialog.
6. Select Yes to when prompted to confirm your settings.
7. Click OK to close the System window.
8. When the prompt appears asking you if you want to reboot now, enter No.
Perform the following steps to enable the 32-bit support for the PCMCIA
Interface:
NOTE. You should complete this procedure even if you do not intend to use the
PCMCIA interface.
1. Open the System icon in the Control Panel.
2. Select the Performance property page and then click on the text PC card
(PCMCIA) devices are not using 32-bit support.
3. Click on the Details button.
4. In the Help window, click on the button to enable 32-bit PC card support.
5. When asked if you are using a PC card to install Windows, select No and
click Next.
6. When asked to review system files to select real-mode PC card drivers for
Windows to delete, select No and click Next.
7. Close the Help window.
8. Click Finish.
9. When asked if it is ok to shut down the computer to complete the installation
of 32-bit support, select Yes.
