2. Before inspecting the power supply wiring, disconnect the power source.
CAUTION!
If the transmitter is in a hazardous area, wait five minutes after disconnecting the
power.
3. Ensure that the terminals, wires, and wiring compartment are clean and dry.
4. Ensure that the power supply wires are connected to the correct terminals.
5. Ensure that the power supply wires are making good contact, and are not clamped
to the wire insulation.
6. Reapply power to the transmitter.
CAUTION!
If the transmitter is in a hazardous area, do not reapply power to the transmitter with
the housing cover removed. Reapplying power to the transmitter while the housing
cover is removed could cause an explosion.
7. Test the voltage at the terminals.
If there is no power, contact Micro Motion customer service.
10.3 Check grounding
The sensor and the transmitter must be grounded.

Procedure
Refer to the sensor and transmitter installation manuals for grounding requirements and
instructions.
10.4 Perform loop tests
A loop test is a way to verify that the transmitter and the remote device are
communicating properly. A loop test also helps you know whether you need to trim mA
outputs.

Perform loop tests using ProLink III (Section 10.4.2)
