Cut and Paste
Command Description
ctrl-d Delete the character underneath the cursor.
ctrl-k Delete the text from the current cursor position to the end of the
line.
ctrl-u Delete backward from the cursor to the beginning of the current
line.
ctrl-w Delete the word behind the cursor, using white space as a word
boundary.
ctrl-y Copy text that has been deleted.
backspace/del Delete the character to the left of the cursor.
