Connecting a TV with the audio/video jacks

Disconnect the TV aerial cable from the TV.

Connect the TV aerial cable to the ANTENNA
IN conncetor on the rear.

Connect the RF cable (supplied) between the
ANTENNA OUT conncetor on the rear and the
TV’s aerial conncetor.

Connect one of the VIDEO OUT jacks (either
VIDEO or S-VIDEO) on the rear to the TV’s
VIDEO or S-VIDEO input jack.
NOTE
You can obtain high-quality pictures by using S-VIDEO
connection.

Connect the AUDIO OUT (LEFT/RIGHT) jacks
to the TV’s AUDIO IN jacks.

Plug in the unit.
The illumination lamp on the unit flashes about 30
seconds.
• During this period, the unit starts up the HDD and
accepts no operations.
Precautions on connecting the power cord
Warning
• Disconnect the power cord:
- if you are not going to use the unit for a long time.
- before cleaning the unit.
- before moving the unit.
• Do not:
- connect or disconnect the power cord with wet hands.
- pull the power cord when disconnecting it, as this
may damage the cord and cause fire, electric shock, or
other accidents.
Caution
• Do not alter, twist or pull the power cord, or put
anything heavy on it, which may cause fire, electric
shock, or other accidents.
• If the cord is damaged, consult a dealer and have the
power cord replaced with a new one
.
