Connecting to a Stereo
System
These instructions enable you to connect the unit to your
Hi-if stereo system (if you have one) and listen to the
sound through the Stereo System.
For DVD/HDD playback:
•
When using an audio cable (not supplied):
Connect
the AUDIO OUT LEFT and RIGHT connectors on the
rear to the audio input connectors, such as AUX IN or
LINE IN, on your amplifier.
For DVD playback only:
•
When using an optical digital cable (not supplied):
Connect the DVD DIGITAL OUT OPTICAL connector
on the rear to an optical digital input connector on
your amplifier.
•
When using an coaxial digital cable (not supplied):
Connect the DVD DIGITAL OUT COAXIAL
connection on the rear to a coaxial digital input
connector on your amplifier.
NOTES
•You can connect this unit directly to the TV or through the
Stereo System using the VIDEO OUT connectors (VIDEO/S-
VIDEO).
•When using the DVD DIGITAL OUT connectors, set “DIGITAL
AUDIO OUTPUT” correctly to match with the connected
component (see page 78).
•You can use the output connectors on the rear to connect a
recording device such as an MD recorder.
