AddressandisswitchedtothatAddress.
Note:TheP2ZCIMwillblinkfromtimetotimeevenifthereisno
keyboard/mousetraffic;thisdemonstratesthattheP2ZCIMis
operatingnormallyandnotlocked.

totheZ‐CIMchain.ThedefaultnameofanyZ‐CIMisitsserialnumber,
whichisnotmeaningfultoyou.InordertonametheZ‐CIM,itmustbe
connectedtoaserverthatispoweredonandtothePar
agonswitchtoget
statusandnameassignment.
ToorganizeandtrackZ‐CIMsandtheserverstowhichtheyare
connected,werecommendoneoftwomethods:
• RecordtheserialnumbersoftheZ‐CIMsconnectedtoeachserver,
andthennameallZ‐CIMsatoneti
meafterthechainiscomplete.
• FirstcompletethechainandthenpowerontheZ‐CIMoneatatime,
checkingtheserialnumberontheZ‐CIMasitisconnected,and
assigningthepropernametotheproperserverZ‐CIM.
WhennamingorrenamingaZ‐CIM,swi
tchtothatZ‐CIMtoactivateit,
therebyensuringthatitsnewname isupdatedintheParagonswitchʹs
database.
