Installing a Cascaded Paragon System
ParagonIIʹschannelportcapacitycanbeexpandedbyinstallinga
cascadeofParagonmatrixswitches(MainUnits).Inaʺtwo‐tieredʺ
cascadedsystem,oneormoresubsidiaryParagonswitchesareconnected
tothechannelportsofaBaseUnit(ʺfirst‐tierʺParagonswitch).Ifyou
fullypopulateasecondti
er,youcanaddathirdtierbyconnecting
additionalsubsidiaryParagonswitchestothechannelportsofParagon
switchesinthesecondtier.Threetiersisthemaximumdepthofa
cascadedsystem;onlyCIMsmaybeattachedtothechannelportsof
Paragonswitchesinthethirdtier.
