REMOTE BUTTONS
TV/VCR BUTTON
Depending on how you wire your system together, the TV/VCR button
does the following:
ࡗ In SAT (Satellite) mode, the
TV/VCR button switches the TV
connected to the RF or VHF output between satellite TV and
broadcast or cable TV. However, the
Local TV Link feature is an
easier way to view both satellite programming and local broadcast
programming (see Local TV Link on page 3-13 for information).
ࡗ In D-VHS mode, the
TV/VCR button acts the same as when in the
SAT mode.
ࡗ In TV mode, the
TV/VCR button switches among the inputs
available on your TV.
ࡗ The
TV/VCR button can be used when controlling a receiver or
second VCR.
Note: The remote does not support this function for all TV's and VCR's.
POWER BUTTON
Press the Power button to turn the recorder ON or OFF. The power light
on the recorder illuminates to indicate the recorder is ON.
MODE BUTTON
You can use the Mode button to set the remote to control the recorder, its
built-in satellite tuner and other various electronic components, such as
TVs, VCRs, Stereo Amplifiers and Cable Boxes.
If you press the
Mode button once, a mode light flashes rapidly to
indicate which mode the remote is using. Press the
Mode button again
to change the mode to the next mode setting. See Programming the
Remote Control on page 4-39 for the procedure to program the remote
to control your TV, the built-inVCR, and other equipment.
The modes are as follows:
ࡗ In SAT (Satellite) mode the remote controls the built-in
satellite receiver. Some VCR functions are also
controllable.
ࡗ In TV mode the remote controls the TV.
ࡗ In D-VHS mode the remote controls the
built-inVCR. The buttons that can be used in the
D-VHS mode are labeled in green on the remote
control. Some tuner functions are also controllable.
ࡗ In AUX (Auxiliary) mode the remote controls another
electronic device. This can be a stereo amplifier,
second TV or a second VCR.
