Using parental controls
The V-Chip feature in this TV supports the U.S. V-Chip system only.
1 Press the MENU button. Select SETTINGS,
PREFERENCES, Parental Control and Locks, and then
press the OK button.
2 Enter your 4-digit PIN code.
3 Press the ( / arrow) buttons to highlight Enable Rating
Blocking.
4 Press the ( / arrow) buttons to select On.
5 Press the ( / arrow) buttons to select Edit Rating Limits,
and then press the OK button.
The Edit Rating Limits screen appears.
6 Press the ( / / / arrow) buttons.
7 Press the OK button to select a level of blocking.
A box with an “X” indicates a rating that will be blocked. As
you highlight a rating, the rating’s definition appears at the
bottom of the screen.
This feature will not be available if no PIN code is set.
Downloading an additional rating system
An additional rating system may be available for use in selectively
blocking TV programs and movies.
The currently tuned station must be receiving a digital signal before
an additional rating system can be downloaded.
1 Press the MENU button. Select SETTINGS,
PREFERENCES, Parental Control and Locks, and then
press the OK button.
2 Enter your 4-digit PIN code. The Parental Control and Locks
screen appears.
3 Press the ( / arrow) buttons to highlight Enable Rating
Blocking.
4 Press the ( / arrow) buttons to select On.
