Images appear dark
No sound can be heard or the sound is faint
Check Remedy
Have the image brightness and luminance
been adjusted correctly?
Use the "Brightness" and "Brightness Control" menu commands to adjust the brightness and
luminance.

Has the image contrastg been adjusted
correctly?
Use the "Contrast" menu command to adjust the contrast.

Is the lamp due for replacement? When the lamp is nearly due for replacement, the images will become darker and the colour quality
will become poorer. When this happens, the lamp should be replaced with a new one. p.142

Is the audio source connected correctly? Check that the cable is connected to the correct [Audio] port. p.29
Has the volume been adjusted to the
minimum setting?
Adjust the volume so that sound can be heard.

Is an audio cable still connected to the
projector's [Audio Out] port?
If a cable connector is inserted into the [Audio Out] port, sound is no longer output from the
projector's built-in speaker.
If not using external speakers, disconnect the audio cable from the [Audio Out] port.
Is the A/V Mute function active? Press the [A/V Mute] button on either the remote control or the projector's control panel to cancel
the A/V Mute function. p.63
Is the "Computer/DVI Audio Input" setting
correct?
Change the "Computer/DVI Audio Input" setting in the "Audio" menu to match the images being
projected, or set it to "Computer/DVI". p.83
