The "Select input" menu item selects the recording source between analog and digital. You can
also make this selection via the quick setup mode on the Home screen. The setting is stored to
the Flash ROM of the unit.
Select the "Select input" menu item and press the [ENTER/YES] key.
The current setting starts flashing and you can now select the desired option.
Analog audio signals fed to the [ANALOG INPUT] connectors are selected.

Digital
Digital audio signals fed to the [DIGITAL I/0] connector are selected.
The "Setup digital in" menu item is effective when "Digital" is selected for the "Select input"
menu item described above. This menu item selects the input channel sources between digital
and analog for four channel pairs (channels 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6). The setting is stored to the Flash
ROM of the unit.
Select the "Setup digital in" menu item and press the [ENTER/YES] key.
The display goes down to the "DIGITAL IN SELECT" screen. On this screen, you can select the
input channel sources of four channel pairs.
Use the [MENU] dial to select a desired channel pair to be edited and press the [ENTER/YES]
key. The current setting ("Analog" or "Digital") starts flashing.
You can select between "Digital" and "Analog". (By default, all channel pairs are set to "Digital".)
<Note>:
You can make digital recording to channels which select "digital" in the
"Digital in" menu item and lock to a digital clock while "Select input" is set to "Digi-
tal". If the channels do not lock to a digital clock, analog inputs are selected auto-
matically regardless of the "Digital in" and "Select input" setting.

your setting. The current setting is shown in the status information area on the Home screen.
Press the [STOP/HOME] key to exit the MENU mode.
Use the [MENU] dial to select "Digital" or "Analog", and press the [ENTER] key to confirm your
setting. Press the [STOP/HOME] key to exit the MENU mode.
You can select between "Analog" and "Digital" (the default is "Analog").
