4) By pressing the [ REWIND] key while holding down the [STOP/HOME] key,
the unit locates to the beginning of the recorded file ("Locate ABS 0" function).
Pressing the [PLAY] key starts playback of the recorded audio file from the
beginning. See page 59 for details about playback.
<Note>:
If you do not make the next recording after the first recording ends,
press the [SAFE/READY] key to exit the record ready mode (i.e. to turn of the
indicator).
<Tip>
During recording, you can set cue points which can be used as markers (see
page 56 for details).
You can also record the slate tone at the beginning of the audio file (see page
55 for details).
From the Home screen above left, you can see that the "SCENE_001.wav" audio
file has been created and the next file name is "SCENE_002.wav".
In the "REP.F" field, you can see the FS and bit length of the recorded file.
<Tip>
You can also use the "Pre recording" function which prevents missing the start
of a take (see page 54 for details).
3) To stop recording, press the [STOP/HOME] key.
When recording ends, the Home screen changes as shown below left. By pressing
the [SAFE/RDY] key to exit the record ready mode, the file name and disk
remaining time are dismissed from the Home screen as shown below right.

If recording was not successful, you can cancel it. See "Canceling recording"
on the next page.
