Before making basic analog or digital audio recording, you need to make some set-
tings.
Basic audio recording
Setup for recording in quick setup mode
Before starting audio recording, you can make necessary settings in the quick
setup mode.
If you set a blank disk and start up the unit, "-No files!-" is shown on the display,
while the indicators shown below are lit.

Quick setup mode
In the quick setup mode, you can make basic settings required for record-
ing via the Home screen, while you can make all preferences for the unit via
the appropriate items in the MENU mode.
You can make settings of the items in the status information area pointed
by the arrow below.
<Note>:
"UP/DW" in the status information area can be edited only when the
optional TC/SYNC card is installed.

), as well as set the CD stop mode for audio CD playback (
see page 65 for

).
