Table 6-11. DGy 201 Streaming Commands
Command Arguments Description
SENDSTREAM [-I clipname]
[-P portnumber]
This command transmits a compressed JPEG 2000
stream over a TCP connection to a remote client.
The source of the stream can either be real time
encoding of the signal connected to the DGy input
or the replay of an existing clip.
To stream a live encoding of the input signal omit
the -I option.
Example
Stream a compressed form of the input stream to
port 8001 of the target player.
SENDSTREAM -P 8001
To stream an existing clip enter the clipname
explicitly using the -I argument. When a ports is
explicitly specified, the port number is saved and
used as the default port number for subsequent
SENDSTREAM commands
Example
Stream the recorded clip “greatclip” to the default
port (8001) of the target player.
SENDSTREAM -I greatclip
To terminate streaming, see STOPSEND
Factory default port setting: 8001
STOPSEND (none) Terminates a stream started with the
SENDSTREAM command. To terminate
streaming, issue
STOPSEND followed by the
STOP command.
See also SENDSTREAM.
StreamSTATus (none) Returns the streaming state of the system
(“Connected” or “Not connected”).
After a connection has been made with a client, this
command will report “Connected” until the user
issues the DGy command to terminate the stream,
even if the client has terminated its end of the
connection.
