Symptom
You cannot control the volume.
You cannot press the [SET] key.
Remedy
• The Remote Commander is Alias-set at the
factory to adjust the volume of a visual
component on a TV and the volume of an
audio component on an amplifier, assuming
that you hear the sound of a visual component
from the TV speakers and the sound of an
audio component from the speakers connected
to an AV amplifier.
If you want to adjust the volume of the
amplifier when selecting another visual
component, or if you want to adjust the volume
of the TV when selecting an audio component,
set the VOL +/– buttons assigned to the TV or
the amplifier as Alias keys or buttons for the
component. For details on setting the Alias key,
see “Setting a function key of another
component to a Component display (ALIAS)”
(page 100).
• The key or button set as the reference key for
the Alias setting of the volume control is
assigned to a preset AV component which has
no volume control function. In this case, you
cannot control the volume because the
reference component has no volume control
function.
• The alignment is incorrect. If the [SET] key
does not appear pressed even after you have
pressed on and around the key, enter the
setting display for the alignment following the
procedure below and calibrate the touch panel
display.
1 Enter the Home display.
2 While pressing the [EXIT] button, press and
hold the [VOL–] button.
3 While pressing the above two buttons
consecutively, press the [CH–] button.
