Remote Scheduling
Remote Scheduling
With Remote Scheduling, you can schedule recordings on your Recorder from any
computer that has Internet access and a standard web browser. Just go to TiVo Central
Online (www.tivo.com/tco), sign in, and search for a show by time, title, keyword,
category, or actor/director.
Once you’ve found a show, you can choose to record a single episode or get a Season
Pass, complete with all the recording options you’re used to on your Recorder. You can
even set the program not to record if it conflicts with a recording that your Recorder
already has scheduled. The next time your Recorder connects to the TiVo service, it
checks TiVo Central Online and schedules your request.
To Use Remote Scheduling
1. Go to TiVo Central Online at www.tivo.com/tco and sign in.
2. On the TiVo Central Online Welcome page, select the name of the Recorder for which
you want to schedule recordings.
3. Browse program information using a simple or advanced search of TV listings, or
browse by channel.
4. From the search results, click the name of a program, then choose to record either a
single program, or (if you have selected a series) an entire season.
5. You have the option to receive a confirmation e-mail sent to the e-mail address you
provide.
Using Remote Scheduling doesn’t
require any changes to your current
setup. However, if your Recorder is
connected to a home network that
includes an always-on Internet
connection, it will check the TiVo service
for your recording requests much more
often. With an always-on connection, you
can schedule a recording within an hour of
the program’s air-time from any place that
you have access to the Internet!
