ONLINE MODULE CHANGE
7.1 Conditions Required for Online Module Change
The CPU module, MELSECNET/H remote I/O module, Q68RD3-G, GX Developer, and
base unit described below are required to perform online module change.
(1) CPU module
The Process CPU or Redundant CPU are required.
For precautions on multiple CPU system configuration, refer to the QCPU User's
Manual (Multiple CPU System).
For precautions on redundant system configuration, refer to the QnPRHCPU User's
Manual (Redundant System).
(2) MELSECNET/H remote I/O module
The module of function version D or later is required.
(3) GX Developer
GX Developer of Version 7.10L or later is required.
GX Developer of Version 8.18U or later is required to perform online module change
on the remote I/O station.
(4) Base unit
(a) When a slim type main base unit (Q3 SB) is used, online module change cannot
be performed.
(b) When an extension base unit (type not requiring power supply module) (Q5 B) is
used, online module change cannot be performed for the modules on all the base
units connected.
Remark
The function version of the Q68RD3-G has been "C" from the first release,
supporting online module change.
