Complete the Upgrade Process
(S8300 is the Primary Controller)
Telnet to the S8300 (primary controller) and open a SAT session to complete the following procedures.
Check Media Modules
1 Type list configuration all and press Enter.
2 Verify that the software is communicating with all media modules and that all media modules are
listed in the reports.
3 Make test telephone calls to verify that Communication Manager is working.
Enable Scheduled Maintenance
1 Type change system-parameters maintenance and press Enter.
2 Ensure that the Start Time and Stop Time fields’ administration is the same as before the
upgrade.
Busy Out Trunks
1 Busy out trunks that were busied out before the upgrade (see Record All Busyouts).
Check for Translation Corruption
1 Type newterm and press Enter.
If you do not get a login prompt and see the following message:
Warning: Translation corruption detected
follow the normal escalation procedure for translation corruption before continuing the upgrade.
Resolve Alarms
1 On the Maintenance Web Interface, under Alarms click Current Alarms to examine the alarm
log.
2 If any alarms are listed, click Clear All.
3 Resolve new alarms since the upgrade through Communication Manager using the appropriate
maintenance book.
Re-enable Alarm Origination
1 Telnet to the S8300 and log on.
2 At the command prompt, type almenable -d b -s y, where
