Customizing a Dial-Up Connection to an Alarm Station
Preparation
Before customizing a dial-up connection, check your alarm station definition, as explained in
Dial-
up Connection to an Alarm Station.

No need to customize... most times
You do not need to customize a long distance code when a Multi-Media unit uses regular long
distance. One or many such sites can call-in alarms to the same alarm station without concern.
By default, Multi makes local calls when long distance codes match. You can add a long distance
or toll-free code, site-by-site as needed, in the Update Station to Call in Case of Alarms box. See
figure
11–9, below and section Customizing a Dial-Up Connection to an Alarm Station, p. 51.
