3.6. INITIAL CALIBRATION
3.6.1. BASIC CALIBRATION PROCEDURE
The following three-step procedure assumes that the instrument does not have any of the
available zero/span (Z/S) or IZS valve options installed. Section 6 contains instructions
for calibrating instrume
nts with valve options.
The initial calibration should be carried out with the analyzer’s reporting range for
SINGLE range mode with a range span of 500 PPB (factory default settings for most
units). This will enable you to compare your results to the factory calibration.
STEP ONE: Set/verify the analog output reporting range of the T101:
SETUP X.X RANGE CONTROL MENU

Press this button to set
the analyzer for

DUAL or AUTO ranges
SETUP X.X RANGE: 500.0 CONC

To change the value of the reporting
range span, enter the number by
pressing the button under each digit
until the expected value appears.
Press this button to select the
concentration units of measure:
PPB, PPM, UGM, MGM
EXIT ignores the new setting and
returns to the RANGE CONTROL
MENU.
ENTR accepts the new setting and
returns to the
RANGE CONTROL MENU.
